NASA Aviation Camp in Carbondale

CARBONDALE -- When we hear about NASA, most of the time we think of space exploration and astronauts. A camp in Carbondale is encouraging students to explore other opportunities NASA has to offer. Nicholas Loftus is just one of many students who chose to travel more than six hours to SIU's Transportation Education Center to get their hands on aviation equipment. "Aviation really runs in my family," Loftus says. "I want to become a pilot so any chance that I really can get to learn about aviation or be around aviation is one I'll try to get down."
