Drone Ecosystem policy Roadmap book

January 31, 2019

After the launch of the DigitalSky Platform under Civil Aviation Regulations ("CAR") 1.0 with effect from December 1, 2018, a basic framework for regulations has been established. The focus now has been on addressing challenging frontier issues such as Beyond Visual Line of Sight ("BVLOS") & Autonomous Operations. A Roadmap Toward a Sustainable Aviation Ecosystem

whitePaper | August 31, 2022

This report outlines a holistic view of pathways to a sustainable aviation ecosystem, focusing on low-net-carbon aircraft energy carriers (fuels), airport ecosystems (airports and bases), and developments in sustainable aircraft components (aircraft). Taking this holistic ecosystem perspective, we identify critical components that contribute to sustainable energy solutions necessary to achieve deep decarbonization of the aviation industry, as well as the integrated energy system interfaces that must be comprehensively understood, planned for, and realized. Further, we outline necessary R&D needs to achieve sustainability across the aviation ecosystem, including advancing breakthrough innovations to rapidly achieve scalable solutions, with attention to their cross-sectoral dependencies and implications.

Advancing Cyber Resilience in Aviation: An Industry Analysis

whitePaper | January 22, 2020

Civil aviation is an incredibly safe mode of transport. Year-on-year statistics referenced by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Annual Safety Report demonstrate this. Considering the forecast of double-digit growth over the next 20 years and the new infrastructure needed to manage capacity and services – and as indirectly evidenced by high levels of consumer confidence documented in widely available growth analysis – continued efforts today will clearly be paramount tomorrow to maintain the safety promise.

PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF EVOLUTIONARY HYDROGEN-POWERED AIRCRAFT

whitePaper | January 26, 2022

Aviation is a hard-to-decarbonize sector of the transport industry due to the stringent mass and volume requirements for aviation fuel. The high energy content of liquid jet fuel, both per unit mass (specific energy) and per unit volume (energy density), makes it difficult to replace. Significant emphasis has been placed on drop-in Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAFs) to reduce emissions without sacrificing aircraft performance. But SAFs emit carbon dioxide (CO2) when combusted (carbon capture during production reduces life-cycle emissions) and their uptake has fallen short of expectations due to their high cost, limited supply, and concerns about the land-use impacts of biofuels.

A SIMPLE GUIDE TO CORPORATE AIRLINE REWARD SCHEMES

whitePaper | November 17, 2019

If you travel a lot for work, then you’ll know about airline reward schemes. These programmes encourage travellers to book again and again with the same airline, collect loyalty points and exchange them for benefits such as discounted fares and free upgrades. But did you also know that in addition to these frequent flyer schemes for individuals, there are also airline reward schemes for companies? These corporate reward schemes are a great way to maximise the value of your company’s travel spend, while benefitting your travellers at the same time.
