JOTA Aviation (ENZ, London Southend) says it is considering introducing an unspecified number of BAe146(QT) ('Quiet Trader') freighters into its fleet either through outright acquisitions or leases. In a statement, the UK-based ACMI/charter operator said addition of the type was in response to increased demand for freight-flying from its client base. Canadian operator WestJet is planning a new transatlantic service. The Boeing 737 operated flight would be used to connect Canada’s Halifax to Manchester in the United Kingdom. Qatar Airways has announced a codeshare partnership with Deutsche Bahn (DB) the German railway operator, offering its passengers connections to and from eight key destinations in Germany, according to a press release issued by the airline.
