WestJet is scrapping several flights from Calgary and Edmonton in favour of a beefed up schedule out of Toronto. The Calgary-based airline confirmed Monday that WestJet Encore is reducing service from Calgary to Edmonton as of March 5, dropping one daily flight in each direction from the schedule. Canadian operator WestJet is planning a new transatlantic service. The Boeing 737 operated flight would be used to connect Canada’s Halifax to Manchester in the United Kingdom. Qatar Airways has announced a codeshare partnership with Deutsche Bahn (DB) the German railway operator, offering its passengers connections to and from eight key destinations in Germany, according to a press release issued by the airline.
