In a recent announcement, Honeywell Aerospace selected AvAir, inventory solutions provider for the aviation aftermarket, to be its sole worldwide distributor for 85- and 95-series auxiliary power units (APUs), which also includes spares for commercial and defense applications.
Over 1,400 airplanes worldwide are currently equipped with 85- and 95- APU variants. The aircraft C130 and P3 are used in the defense sector, and the Boeing 737-CL for commercial purposes.
The Vice President – of Defense at AvAir, Moe El-Khatib, said, "We're excited to announce this new partnership with Honeywell and create a unique distribution channel for these APUs, this opportunity will allow us to continue to provide our existing and new customers improved access and more solutions to critical parts."
