easyJet Suffers Bird Strike On First Day Of Brandenburg’s New Runway

An easyJet Airbus A320 yesterday returned to Berlin Brandenburg Airport following a bird strike. The incident is possibly the first of its type for an aircraft departing from runway 25L, as the runway was only opened yesterday morning.
While a great degree of control is exerted on the air space around airports, there is one thing that is slightly more difficult to control. Mother Nature. After all, birds don’t realize the potential impact of flying in the vicinity of jet engines. However, when a collision does happen, it can mean a precautionary return to the airport of origin. TAT Technologies signs another 5-year contract with an international air carrier for APU MRO services with estimated total revenues of $10 million

This contract is a result of a very successful partnership between the companies over the last several years which led the parties to sign a global fleet contract. As part of this contract, TAT will provide MRO services to the airline's GTCP331 model APUs. TAT estimates total revenues from this contract to be $10 million ($2 million per year).
