American Airlines says it has video footage to back up its denial that a woman was abandoned in a wheelchair overnight Friday after her flight was canceled. The family of Olimpia Warsaw, who is described as having Parkinson's Disease and difficulty communicating, told CBS Chicago she was traveling with the airline Friday to attend the funeral of her son's father and was left at O'Hare International Airport after her flight to Detroit was canceled. But American tells another story. We launched an investigation with our Chicago team and the vendor we utilize that provides wheelchair services at O’Hare," a spokesperson for the airline said in an emailed statement to USA TODAY Tuesday. "After a review of closed-circuit television, Ms. Warsaw was dropped off in the terminal at 12:30 a.m. CT on Dec. 1 and a family member arrived at the airport to pick her up at 1:13 a.m. CT.
