Mexicali Airport adopts SITA technology

General Rodolfo Sanchez Taboda International Airport, known as Mexicali International Airport, has been moved onto SITA AirportConnect Open platform.Managed by Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (GAP), the airport plans to use the technology to help drive growth by attracting international carriers.Located close to the US-Mexico border in Baja California, Mexicali is the northernmost airport in Mexico and the fastest growing among the 12 airports in Mexico managed by GAP. In 2018 it saw record growth with annual passenger numbers rising 42% from 2017.SITA common-use platform will enable all airlines to share the same check-in and boarding equipment while international carriers can operate in the same way they do at other airports around the world.
