Additive Manufacturing for Aerospace - Sky's Not the Limit

Emergency operations centers (EOCs) are involved in command and control, policymaking, coordination, and overall direction of responding forces in an emergency situation. While commercial airports typically have a space they refer to as the EOC, some EOCs are repurposed conference rooms that may not be adequate for handling all emergency operations. This webinar provided information to guide airports through the decision-making process involved when considering changes to their EOC. These changes may include upgrading an existing EOC, evaluating a move to an alternative existing space, or building an entirely new EOC.

When it comes to transforming the modern travel experience, Charlotte International Airport (CLT) has brought together a trifecta that is changing the airport experience. Fusing large-format video wall technology with digital art and design, CLT’s Concourse A expansion is poised to put them on the map as one of America’s destination airports.

IATA launched the NDC program in 2012. NDC Standard is an XML-based data transmission standard. It aims to transition from the current flight distribution model to an airline retailing distribution model. Now, airlines are leveraging NDC to gain more direct control over distribution. NDC adoption will also impact the way airlines are contracting with corporations.

Paul Maxted, Director of Industrial Metrology Applications at Renishaw presented on our innovative technologies including additive manufacturing and metrology solutions that will help suppliers meet industry expectations.
