This webinar presentation will introduce the challenges of accommodating large engines underwing on civil aircraft. Speakers from Bombardier Aerospace and Rolls Royce will explain how the constraints influence the design of the Trent powerplants today and looking to the future, they will outline the trends on large engines and how the Rolls-Royce Ultrafan® integration presents new challenges and opportunities. From the aircraft side we will discuss how the positioning of the engine affects the aircraft structure, the types of loading introduced to the aircraft from the engine and how aircraft can be designed to accommodate large engines now and in the future.

Paul Maxted, Director of Industrial Metrology Applications at Renishaw presented on our innovative technologies including additive manufacturing and metrology solutions that will help suppliers meet industry expectations.
