Avolon orders 100 A320neo-family jets

Irish-based lessor Avolon is ordering 100 Airbus A320neo-family jets, comprising 75 A320neos and 25 A321neos.No engine selections have been disclosed. The jets will be delivered from 2023, the lessor confirms.Avalon values the deal at $11.5 billion and gives it over 265 aircraft on order with the airframer. Chief executive Domhnal Slattery says the order reflects our ambition to become the global leader in the sector. The scale of the order reflects the long-term commitment and strategic perspective of our shareholders. We continue to see robust demand from our customers for the A320neo family. This is consistent with our own market research and global fleet forecast.
