Elbit Systems Awarded $80 Million Contract to Supply DIRCM and Airborne EW Self Protection Systems for a Country in Asia-Pacific

Elbit Systems Ltd. announced that it was awarded a $80 million contract to supply Direct Infrared Counter Measures  and airborne Electronic Warfare systems for a country in Asia-Pacific. The contract will be performed over a two-year period.

Under the contract, Elbit Systems will provide C-MUSIC™ DIRCM systems together with the Company's Infra-Red-based Passive Airborne Warning Systems for several aircraft types, providing high levels of protection and redundancy. These systems have accumulated hundreds of thousands of flight hours to date, and have been selected by numerous customers to equip more than 25 types of aircraft. Customers include Israel, Germany, NATO's multinational fleet and others.

Archer Enters Into Agreement for Garmin to Supply Key Avionic Systems for Archer’s Production Aircraft, Midnight™

JOHNSON MATTHEY AND HONEYWELL PARTNER TO ADVANCE LOWER CARBON HYDROGEN SOLUTIONS

Honeywell and Johnson Matthey (JM), today announced they will work together to deploy low carbon1 hydrogen solutions. The companies will offer JM's innovative LCH™ technology, coupled with Honeywell's leading carbon capture technology to produce lower carbon intensity hydrogen (blue hydrogen) at scale. Ready to be deployed today, this offering will provide project developers a new option for producing clean hydrogen. The demand for hydrogen solutions is on the rise with public policies and funding mechanisms being put in place to encourage investment. An example is the U.S. Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which commits billions in production tax incentives for clean hydrogen producers. With the evolving legislative environment, an integrated solution was identified with low process carbon intensity as a key target. According to JM- Honeywell UOP calculations, the result is a solution which will enable direct process emissions to be less than 0.1 kgCO2/kgH2 by capturing carbon rates above 99%2. This provides eligibility for production tax credits within the IRA, meaning projects can access the support they need to be deployed rapidly. This relationship also builds on the collaboration recently announced at the European Refining Technology Conference in Berlin, where JM is integrating differentiated Honeywell UOP technologies into its CLEANPACE™ offering for decarbonising existing synthesis (syngas) gas plants. Honeywell's advanced solvent carbon dioxide (CO2) capture and hydrogen solutions allow for CO2 to be captured, transported, and stored at a lower cost through greater efficiency, while allowing for smaller equipment and lower capital operational expenses needed to run the plant compared to existing technologies3. BNDES finances Embraer's aircraft production for export

The Brazilian National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) approved financing to Embraer S.A. (B3: EMBR3, NYSE: ERJ) for producing and exporting commercial aircraft manufactured by the company. The operation, in the order of R$ 2.2 billion (US$ 400 million), will be carried out through the BNDES Exim Pre-shipment, a direct bank credit line to produce national goods destined for export. BNDES operation reinforces the US$ 650 million revolving credit funding recently announced by Embraer with a foreign financial institutions group. The financing consummation is subject, among others, to the fulfillment of previous conditions established by BNDES and the execution of the respective contract. "Credit operations are important for the resumption of aircraft production by Embraer at pre-Covid-19 pandemic levels and reinforce the strategic partnership between BNDES and Embraer started in 1997, consolidating BNDES support to the aeronautical industry and the export of Brazilian aircraft," Bruno Aranha, director of BNDES. "The longevity of the partnership between Embraer and BNDES illustrates the strength of this relationship that stimulates Brazilian exports and benefits society. Together with other actions that we are carrying out with Brazilian and international financial institutions, this operation reinforces our credibility for access to financial resources that will contribute to executing our growth plan," said Antonio Carlos Garcia, CFO of Embraer. INDUSTRY COLLABORATES TO BRING AUGMENTED REALITY TO HAWK AIRCRAFT

BAE Systems will collaborate with Red 6 to explore the integration of the Advanced Tactical Augmented Reality Systems (ATARS) onto the Hawk fast jet trainer aircraft. This will enable pilots to identify, engage and defeat virtual threats and co-operate with virtual wingmen whilst airborne.
