Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) – operator of Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru (BLR Airport), one of the world's fastest growing airports has signed an agreement with ACES India Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Advanced Communications and Electronics Systems Company (ACES) for providing Mobile Infrastructure Services, including 5G for 10 years.
The agreement aims to provide Mobile Infrastructure Services to create a modern and intelligent environment for passengers, travellers, residents and visitors of BLR Airport, for a period of 10 years.
Dr. Akram Aburas, CEO of ACES explained ACES vision to expand further across the region as International Neutral Host Champion. He also confirmed that the agreement stipulates that the company will equip the airport's telecom infrastructure to cover it with the latest modern and intelligent technologies providing mobile services, secure better coverage and improve the user experience by raising mobile internet speeds in the airport and the service areas associated with the project. Thus, forming a synchronous 10-year partnership with BIAL's expansion vision for 'BLR Airport'.
Dr. Khalid Al Mashouq, CTO of ACES assured that with the signing of the project, ACES is committed to provide the latest Mobile Telecom network service for the public area and thus supporting social and commercial activities to passengers at BLR Airport all year round. This airport being one of the core elements in the country's infrastructure is considered as one of the most prestigious projects.
BIAL Management expressed their pride in partnering with ACES, which aims to equip and develop infrastructure with the latest means of wireless communications.
The event was witnessed and attended by ACES India Pvt. Ltd. Director Mr. Mohammed N. Mazher and senior officials from BIAL's ICT, Procurement, Finance, and Legal departments.

Toronto Pearson is located in Mississauga, west of Toronto, in Ontario, Canada. It is Canada's largest airport, the sixth-most-connected airport in the world and the second-most-connected airport in North America.
Toronto Pearson will be the first airport in the world to trial the HEXWAVE walkthrough security detection portal. Several key members of the Liberty Defense team, including CEO Bill Frain, have previously been involved in the development and mass deployment of key screening technologies that are commonly found today at airports around the world.

This strategy is known as a layered defense strategy, and it makes it possible for security teams to detect threats at the perimeter of a property without obstructing the movement of large groups of people. HEXWAVE can operate in both indoor and outdoor environments, providing additional flexibility for deployment of the system.
HEXWAVE uses 3D radar imaging and artificial intelligence, primarily to detect and identify concealed weapons, as well as other threats and anomalies, whether they are metallic or nonmetallic. The experience of passing through a HEXWAVE device is completely seamless. There is no need to stop and remove keys, cell phones, or other items from pockets. Moreover, HEXWAVE does not retain the 3D radar image and only displays a standardized person outline as shown in the figure included here.

As previously announced, Liberty is also working with the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for demonstration and evaluation of the HEXWAVE and its expanded capabilities for screening aviation workers at a TSA designated airport location to enhance detection and throughput performance.

The business aviation market will have access to a new compact and lightweight terminal for Inmarsat's market-leading Jet ConneX (JX) inflight broadband solution from early next year, after the company expanded its partnership with Orbit Communication Systems, a leading provider of airborne communication solutions.
Orbit's AirTRx30 terminal is progressing towards type approval on Inmarsat's global Ka-band satellite network, which powers JX. The advanced system is compatible with a wide range of business jets, from super mid-size to large cabin platforms, and includes only two Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), consisting of a modem manager (MODMAN) and tail-mounted antenna. The simplified architecture is optimised for efficient installation and weight savings, which in turn also helps to reduce its environmental impact.
The AirTRX30 builds on patented Orbit aperture designs that are already used by Inmarsat's government customers and will also be compatible with upcoming Ka-band satellites that are being launched over the next few years as part of Inmarsat's ground-breaking technology roadmap.

Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV) and the Transport Workers Union Local 550 (TWU 550) have reached a Tentative Agreement for the more than 400 Southwest Airlines Dispatch Employees.

This Tentative Agreement covers all Southwest Airlines Flight Dispatchers, Assistant Dispatchers, Flight Superintendents, Dispatch Specialists, and Dispatch ATC Specialists. The TWU 550 will share details directly with their members about the agreement and the voting process.
