“Rationalising and modernising”: Air France–KLM increase A350-900 order

The Air France–KLM Group has announced today that it will be enhancing its fleet by issuing a “firm order” for ten more A350-900s, which will take its total order for the aircraft up to 38. With the further acquisition of the groundbreaking vehicle, considered to be one of the industry’s most advanced widebody planes, the group hopes to take advantage of a dramatic slash in fuel burn and CO2 emissions, to maximise efficiency and boost their bottom line. The A350 XWB features a carbon fibre fuselage and wings, plus new fuel-efficient Rolls-Royce engines. This tech helps translate into unrivalled levels of operational efficiency with a 25 per cent reduction in fuel burn and emissions. The A350 XWB’s Airspace by Airbus cabin is the quietest of any twin-aisle and offers passengers and crews the most modern in-flight products for the most comfortable flying experience.
