Helicopters built by Sikorsky Aircraft, based in Stratford, and by Bloomfield-based Kaman Corp., recently demonstrated how “optionally piloted,” remotely controlled aircraft can be used to fight fires or to conduct search and rescue missions while minimizing risk to human life.
