The biggest airport in the world launches in September 2019

There’s a new mega airport on the horizon. As the world’s fastest-growing aviation sector, China is set to open Beijing Daxing International Airport in September 2019. The ultra-modern hub will become the biggest airport in the world and a shining showpiece of President Xi Jinping’s massive infrastructure push in the country. Beijing Daxing International Airport will open on September 30th 2019, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has announced. Construction of the airport, which began in 2014, is set for completion on June 30th. Following the first test plane landings in January, the CAAC says that all flight inspections and quality checks have been completed and authorities are now working on routes and slot allocations for the launch.
