Universal Hydrogen Co., with its carbon-free aviation, is developing the airline industry with hydrogen aviation. It recently announced it had signed a strategic partnership with Air New Zealand as part of the airline's Mission Next Gen Aircraft program, which is growing. Along with the block, Air New Zealand chose Universal Hydrogen as its long-term partner program as it aims to focus on sustainable solutions for its fleet.
Universal Hydrogen is working to turn existing regional planes into ones that can fly on hydrogen and use a modular fueling system to supply hydrogen to the fleet. This eliminates the need for new airport infrastructure, speeds up fueling, and reduces transfer losses along the hydrogen delivery chain. Air New Zealand's regional fleet could use its conversion kits once tested and approved.
Co-founder and CEO of Universal Hydrogen, Paul Eremenko, said, "As the second-largest turboprop operator in the world, Air New Zealand is a trendsetter for the industry." He continued. "We fully expect other airlines to follow in Air New Zealand's footsteps toward a true zero emissions solution for their fleets. We're thrilled to be selected alongside Air New Zealand's other long-term partners—Airbus, ATR, Embraer, and Heart Aerospace—to quickly address aviation's contributions to the climate crisis."

About Universal Hydrogen
Universal Hydrogen is a Los Angeles (California) based company developing a hydrogen logistics network to fuel the future of aviation. Hydrogen is an ideal fuel for flying, and it will power the next age of aviation when planes run on renewable energy and only release water. The modular hydrogen capsules made by the company move directly from the factory to an airplane anywhere in the world using the existing freight network. The company is further working on getting certification as a powertrain conversion kit to retrofit existing regional aircraft to fly on hydrogen.
