After several years of lackluster performance, the stars are aligned for the Aerospace and Defense (A&D) Industry which is now poised for strong growth. Rapidly rising affluence in developing countries, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region, is creating a boom in air travel resulting in high demand for new commercial aircraft. At the same time, growing tensions between the Western allies and countries like Russia, China, Iran and North Korea have triggered another arms race revitalizing defense budgets to the tune of $716 Billion in the United States, alone.
