Airlines Fleet Growth

More passengers than ever are expected to fly in 2018. And with more seats filling up, airlines have to increase their fleet size to accommodate the extra passengers. We compared aircraft backorders against current fleet sizes to find the airlines with the biggest growth. The results are shown separately for airlines with a current fleet of 1-20 aircraft vs. airlines with 20+ aircraft.

It aims to become the airline of choice of the South Pacific, and the purchase and introduction of three new re-branded Fiji Airways Airbus 330-200s to replace its fleet of Boeing 747-400s and 767s will be the capstone of the airline’s success and turnaround. From its hub at Nadi International Airport, Fiji Airways and its subsidiary Pacific Sun fly to 15 cities in 10 countries.
