June 20, 2019

Air Force is acquiring the MQ-4C Triton Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS2 ) to be operated alongside the P-8A Poseidon to replace the AP-3C Orion. The DSN functions as both a network, to enable the necessary link between Triton mission systems and mission crew, and as a data cloud for authorised DSN users such as deployed maritime commanders, P-8 missions, networked analysts, operations planners, and common operating picture.
