IATA’s New Distribution Capability (NDC) is ushering in an air travel merchandising revolution designed to help airlines regain control over their product distribution and their customers, before they step on their plane. Airlines are now assessing how best to embrace and implement NDC, its standards and processes, and how to integrate this new distribution model with existing systems including their PSS. IATA has done much to sign post the way forward and promote the benefits. It is now up to the airlines to find ways of embracing the innovations on offer.
