Legacy parts specialist Ontic appointed Transaero its authorized parts distributor for its line of Hamilton Sundstrand jet fuel control products. These items include a variety of hydro-mechanical controls for the T64, T56, T55, JT3D and JT4 engines. United Technologies Corp.’s net profits fell 11 percent in the second quarter of the year and 13.5 percent in the first half of 2016, according to a report filed today with the Securities and Exchange Commission. For the three-month period that ended June 30, UTC earned $1.37 billion, or $1.71 per share — down from $1.54 billion, or $1.65 per share, in the comparable period in 2015. Canadian operator WestJet is planning a new transatlantic service. The Boeing 737 operated flight would be used to connect Canada’s Halifax to Manchester in the United Kingdom. Qatar Airways has announced a codeshare partnership with Deutsche Bahn (DB) the German railway operator, offering its passengers connections to and from eight key destinations in Germany, according to a press release issued by the airline.
