American Airlines flight makes emergency landing at JFK after being struck by lightning: FAA

QUEENS -- American Airlines flight 4233 traveling from Raleigh-Durham International Airport to LaGuardia Airport made an emergency landing at John F. Kennedy International Airport after being struck by lightning.According to the FAA, the plane landed safely at 6:06 p.m.The FAA is investigating.FAA released the following statement:Republic Airlines 4233, an Embraer E170, landed safely at John F Kennedy International Airport at 6:06 pm tonight after reporting a lightning strike. The flight departed Raleigh-Durham International Airport enroute to LaGuardia Airport. The FAA will investigate.
